B - Proofing Workflow

By default, Memento Yearbook comes equipped with a comprehensive review and approval process designed to minimize the need for back-and-forth communication with the publisher.

However, this workflow can be disabled, allowing for a more straightforward submission process through a single "Submit to Publisher" button. This streamlined option may be preferable for schools with limited experience or for publishers who have their own proofing systems and wish to submit proofs on behalf of their client schools.

  1. Click on Customization Tab on the right side
  2. Click on Proofing on the Customization on the left
  3. Choose either Review & Approve or Basic.
  4. Click Save Proofing settings.

Here is an example of the 2 workflows from the Book Manager

Review and Approve
Basic

C - Uploaded Flattened PDF

In certain situations, you might prefer using a flattened PDF rather than a layered one. Memento Yearbook facilitates this option by activating a single switch.

Please be aware that Memento Yearbook will generate layered and flattened versions of the final approved PDF even with this switch activated. This allows you to choose the format you wish to download. While we recommend the layered PDF for optimal quality, we understand that some publishers may require a flattened PDF to address compatibility issues with specific printer drivers.

Please note: Activating this feature will delay the generation and availability of your final PDF, as it necessitates the creation of two sets of proofs. Flattening a PDF requires additional resources, so we advise enabling this feature only if a flattened PDF is specifically needed.

E - Customize the Proof Approved Email

It is now possible to replace the default MementoPix message automatically added in the publisher-approving proof email sent to the yearbook editor.

  1. Turn on the "Customize Proof Approved Email" button switch.
  2. Enter your custom message in the Edit field.
  3. Preview your email by clicking on the "Preview" button.
  4. Click on "Save Email Settings" to save your changes.
